Pro tip: tuner at the meet in Dallas said my fuel trims were hiding a boost leak
I was at a cars and coffee in Dallas last month and a guy with a beat up WRX asked to look at my data log on my phone. He scrolled for about 20 seconds and said my long term fuel trims were sitting at like plus 12 and that was a boost leak, not a tune issue. I blew him off because the car felt fine, but two days later I found a cracked coupler on the cold side. Now I log fuel trims before I touch ANY map, because a good log will call out a mechanical problem way before your butt dyno does. What numbers do you guys check first when something feels off but throws no codes?
