Seeing all that foil packaging in the trash changed my whole approach
I was fine with using single-use packets for serums and masks until I saw how much plastic waste my spa made in a day. It hit me when I took out three full bags of trash after just ten facials, mostly from tiny foil pieces and disposable tools. I made a hard switch to buying products in big bottles and using glass or metal tools I can sterilize. Sure, it costs more at first, but my clients now see me as more careful and modern, which they like. Some other estheticians think I'm overdoing it, but why keep adding to landfills when we have better options? I even teach my clients to look for refillable skincare at home, which they appreciate. This shift not only helps the planet but also makes my business stand out. Honestly, if our trade ignores this, we're part of the problem.
