My old tent finally gave out on a rainy night in the Smokies
I've had the same two-person dome tent for about 12 years, and it's been through a lot. Last week, I was camping near Gatlinburg and a real downpour hit around midnight. I woke up to a steady drip on my sleeping bag, and by morning, the floor was damp in three spots. The seam sealant is completely gone, and I think the fabric is just too worn to patch. I need something reliable for weekend trips, preferably under $200. Has anyone had a tent last longer than a decade, or is that just asking for trouble?
