My old neighbor in the apartment complex did the same thing with my vintage record collection, lol. It's easier to just point to one specific thing you love, like a single comic run, instead of trying to explain the whole hobby. I get what dylanr51 is saying too, people make the weirdest leaps. Most folks just don't get that being into a genre doesn't mean you're into every part of it.
