I thought posting meetup times in the chat was enough. It wasn't.
Ran the Saturday coffee meetup for the ATL chat crowd at a spot on Ponce for about 8 months and always just dropped the time in chat the night before. Last month only 3 people showed up when 14 said they were in, and one guy told me he reads the chat on his laptop Friday night, never on his phone Saturday morning. Turns out most folks scroll past anything without a pin, so the plan got buried under 60 messages by 8am. I put a Google Calendar link in the chat group info and we got 11 people the next week. Anyone else here run a group like this, and how do you keep plans from getting lost in the scroll?
