inHad a guy owe me for a rewire for half a year, paid up finally and now his whole neighborhood calls me. Everyone says chase invoices hard, but this slack approach filled my calendar.
Sometimes cutting people a break when they're struggling pays off way more than being strict. Like when a neighbor forgets to return a tool, but then they help you fix your fence later. Or when you let a friend pay you back slowly, and they become your most reliable buddy. It's not about being naive, it's about seeing the long game in small trusts. That slack on an invoice can turn a one-time client into your biggest fan.

inMy brother's family is visiting and we're planning a hike, need easy trail recommendations
Oh, Bear Lake Loop is perfect for that (we took my nieces there last fall). It's basically flat the whole way around with great views of the water to keep the kids from getting bored. My two were the same ages and they loved spotting ducks and chipmunks along the path.

inWarning: Jump squats on my hardwood floor wrecked my ankle
Guess my ankle needed to personally explain why stores sell those stupid mats. Went from feeling tough skipping gear to limping around like I forgot how floors work. Nothing makes you appreciate foam padding like your own body screaming about bad choices. The universe really makes you learn some lessons the hard way.
