Hit 200 business cards in one week and my arm still hurts
I had a stretch last month where every single day had some networking event or meetup, from a Monday morning coffee thing in Buckhead to a Thursday happy hour over in Vinings. By Friday I had handed out exactly 200 cards, which sounds like a win until I realized I only got maybe 12 back and 2 of those were from the same guy who kept following me around. The wild part is that one of those 12 cards turned into a real contract worth $800 for a small office network setup, so the numbers were dumb but the outcome was fine. I spent the whole weekend sorting through crumpled cards and trying to remember which Sarah was the one who does managed services versus the Sarah who sells fiber. My tracking spreadsheet now says I need to cap myself at 3 events a week or my shoulder starts yelling. Has anyone else hit a weird card count milestone and then questioned if quantity even matters anymore?
