Got schooled on a big job at the Ford plant in Louisville last month

We were setting a big steam drum and the old foreman, Mike, saw me about to use a regular come-along on a tricky angle. He stopped me, grabbed a 2-ton ratchet lever hoist from his truck, and showed me how the flat pull keeps everything from walking. I've used that trick on three jobs since and it's saved me a ton of headache. Anyone else have a simple tool swap that made a huge difference on a rig?
