A master tech told me to stop using my impact on lug nuts, and I argued with him
Back when I was 2 years into the trade at a Firestone in Akron, a master tech watched me buzz off wheels with my 1/2 inch impact and told me to start every lug by hand first, or I'd be paying for studs out of my own check. I brushed him off for 6 months until I cross threaded a stud on a customer's Silverado and had to eat the repair myself. How do you all break your guys of the impact habit, or do you just let the studs teach the lesson?
