inMy standing desk motor died at the worst time yesterday
Man oh man that brings back a memory. My uncle had this old fishing boat with a 15 horse Johnson from the 70s. Thing was a beast but the electric start gave out on him one summer. He spent two weeks trying to fix it before he just ripped the whole starter out and put a pull cord on it. Said it was simpler and he could always get it going no matter what. I still don't get it because that motor always started fine before.

inCan we talk about the $200 ergonomic chair I bought that turned into a back saver after 2 months
You keep saying "total afterthought" but I've got to wonder - is it really that bad? I had a Herman Miller for almost 8 years and the armrests held up fine. They're not super fancy but they're not falling apart either. Maybe you got a lemon or the previous owner didn't take care of them. People blame planned obsolescence for everything these days. Sometimes a piece of plastic just wears out after a decade of use.

inPro tip: Always triple check the blueprint measurements before you quote
Oh jeez, that's rough. But just a heads up, a 150 foot fence that takes 6 days for $900 labor works out to like $150 a day which is actually below minimum wage in a lot of places if you think about it. You really gotta factor in your time better on the front end, not just the measurements.

inComparison I did: Dave Ramsey plan vs. the money guy FOO method
Does the order really change much in the end? I just picked what worked for my paycheck.

inTold my lawyer friend I'd never use electronic signatures, now I'm a convert
I mean, I get where you're coming from but I don't think it's that wild honestly. There's something about signing a physical document that just feels more official to me, like it actually means something. I tried using digital signatures once for a rental agreement and the landlord's email got hacked and someone tried to change the payment terms. Total nightmare. So yeah, maybe it's just me but printing and scanning isn't the end of the world if it means you know exactly what you're signing without worrying about technical glitches or security stuff.
