I picked up a beat up old Ford from a farm auction outside Fresno last month for $600, mostly for spare parts. While I was crawling under the bed checking the frame, I found a metal latch that opened a storage box welded into the floor that I didn't even know these trucks came with. I looked it up in an old service manual and turns out it was a factory option back then, not some farmer's hack job. I've been working on trucks for 14 years and never saw one of these before. Anyone else run into a factory feature on an old rig that made you stop and stare?
