Old timer watched me torque lugs with a impact and asked one thing that stuck
Was doing brakes on a 2011 Silverado at my shop off 5th Street last month and an old timer who runs the bay next to mine watched me zip the lugs back on with my impact gun. He waited til I was done and said 'you ever check those with a wrench after?' I blew him off at first but he handed me his torque wrench and damn near every one was either over or under spec. Now I hand torque every wheel I touch, even if it costs me a few extra minutes per car. Anyone else have a guy call them out like that and it actually made you change your whole process?
