Watched a cylinder head go from black to clean in 20 minutes, total game changer

Got a 2008 Civic in with a blown head gasket last Tuesday, and the head was caked in burnt oil and carbon. I've always been a wire wheel and elbow grease guy, but my buddy let me borrow his Walnut blasting setup. Sprayed it down with degreaser, hit it with the media, and that thing looked nearly new, valve stems and all. The difference in how the valves sealed after resurfacing was night and day. Anyone else made the jump to media blasting, or am I late to the party?
