inOld coworker called my password habits '1999' and it stung
Wait, passwords in a notebook? Like a physical book with all your login info written down in one place? That's wild to me. You're basically handing over your whole digital life to anyone who finds that thing. What if you lost it at a coffee shop or something?

inHad to pick between a flat rate and hourly for a 3 month web design project
Totally agree with @shane_morgan on this one. It's like how people always say they want to pay one price for car repairs and then get mad when they find out the engine needs more work. lol. Flat rate just shifts all the risk onto you and that never ends well.

inMy uncle swore by wrapping his ribs in foil after 3 hours, but I tried the 'no wrap' method he laughed at and got way better bark
Oh man, that reminds me of the time I tried to smoke ribs while camping and forgot my foil at home. Ended up using a wet paper towel and a prayer. The bark was actually decent but I spent the whole time worried the paper would catch fire. Haven't tried that method since.

inShowerthought: That old guy who fixed my Walkman in 1995
Man, that reminds me of something that happened to my buddy. He had this old neighbor show him how to patch a hole in drywall with toothpaste and a credit card. @rosepark you're spot on, it's the little hacks that save the most.

inPro tip: check your pressure gauge before you fire up the boiler
Yeah, I read a study once that said most boiler failures start with skipped basic checks.
