Yesterday's brake job went south when I stripped a caliper bolt
I was changing brake pads on a Honda Civic yesterday. When tightening the caliper bolt, I used too much force and stripped the threads. Now the bolt won't sit right, and I'm concerned about safety. Has this happened to anyone before? What's the best way to fix stripped threads in tight spots?

Is it really that unsafe though? People strip threads all the time and just send it. Maybe just get a second look before you panic.

Man, that reminds me of when my cousin tried to just send it with a stripped bolt on his lawnmower. Thing shook apart in under an hour.
