TIL that sorting my test leads by color saves a ton of time

I used to just toss them in a bag. Now, grabbing the right one for the job is instant.

What's next, alphabetizing your screwdrivers?

Ever think about labeling them with their length or gauge too? Once you sort by color, adding little tags takes it to the next level for bigger projects.

Nah, labels would just slow me down. The color thing alone is still a game changer.

Tried the color coding system in my own garage last year and it honestly saved my bacon on a deck rebuild. Found that just seeing the red for Phillips and blue for flathead cut my search time in half without any extra fuss. Adding tiny labels felt like overkill for me because I work fast and dirty, and they always peel off anyway. The color alone gives my brain the quick cue it needs to grab the right tool and keep moving.
