Appreciation post: let the clover take over half my lawn and the bees showed up
Spent 3 summers fighting weeds with chemicals and got nothing but dead grass, so I quit and let the clover and dandelions run wild in my yard in Boise. Now I count 20 bees a minute out there, and honestly the yard looks better than my neighbor's perfect green rectangle. Anyone else quit the weed war and just let it grow?

My neighbor finally gave up on his perfect green rectangle too and now the whole block is a bee buffet. Next step is ripping out that dead grass strip by the curb and tossing in some wildflower seed.
