Put a cheap bird bath in my yard in April and learned something about wasps
I put a $15 concrete bird bath out by my fence in April thinking it would just be for the robins, but by July it was swarming with paper wasps every hot afternoon. Turns out they were landing on the wet rim to drink, and my neighbor in Lexington told me he keeps his bird bath shady and away from the gate for that exact reason. Anyone else had this happen, and did moving it into shade actually cut down the wasps for you?
