I am looking to buy a nice fire pit for the summer. Has anyone compared S&S Fire Pits with the Tiki Brand ones? The Tiki is cheaper but looks a bit smaller.

The Tiki pit is decent for small patios, but it's nowhere near the quality of a heavy steel bowl. It feels a bit flimsy to be honest.

I saw davidshah mention the Tiki pit feels flimsy, and that's SPOT ON. I had a similar one that warped after one season because the metal was too thin. My friend's S&S pit has been through multiple winters and still looks new, which is WILD. If you're going to use it a lot, spend more upfront so you don't buy twice. Also, the weight matters. A heavier pit doesn't tip over as easily when you're moving logs around.

There's really no comparison in durability. S&S Fire Pits are made from thick carbon steel that will last decades. The Tiki one will probably need replacing in a few years if you use it a lot.
