Unpopular opinion: a plain gravel path beats pavers, and my $60 haul from the quarry in Round Rock proves it
I went out to the quarry in Round Rock last weekend for 2 tons of crushed granite at $60, mostly just to fix a muddy spot by my back gate. What caught my eye was the size of the pile and how many people were loading up truck beds for paths instead of buying pallets of pavers. I laid a 30 foot stretch with a hand tamper and some edging, and it drains way better than the concrete walkway it meets. It's only been a week but it already feels like the most used part of my yard, and the dog loves it too. Has anyone else gone gravel over pavers, or am I going to regret this once weeds show up?
