PSA: trying to line up a fade with a mirror got way easier once I switched to feeling it against my comb
Spent 2 years fighting the mirror for blend lines until an old barber in Fort Worth told me to close my eyes and feel the hair length against my comb instead. My fades got cleaner in a week because my hands knew the taper before my eyes did. Anyone else trust touch over sight on blends?

Yes! This is exactly what changed my fades too. I stopped staring at the mirror and just started feeling the weight of the hair between my fingers and comb, and my blends got so much smoother. Your hands really do know the taper before your eyes catch it.
