Walked past a barber school in Austin and watched a student butcher a fade for 20 minutes

The instructor just stood there chatting while the client's hairline got eaten up, so my question is, is letting students learn on real heads really the best way, or do teaching shops need to step in more when someone's clearly struggling?

Instructor should've stepped in after five minutes. That's on them, not the student.
