A coffee meeting in Boise made me stop sending my rate as a single number
Sat down with a marketing guy at a cafe on 8th Street and he asked why I always quote one flat price. I told him it was easier, but he said to send three options instead, so now clients see a $1,200 base, a $2,400 mid, and a $3,900 full package. Two out of three people pick the middle one and nobody has pushed back since. Anyone else try the three tier thing or does it just confuse people?
Eight bucks for a coffee on 8th Street and he hands you advice worth thousands, that's wild. But two out of three going straight to the $2,400 option is the part that gets me. That's not luck, that's the middle price doing all the work for you. Did the guy say anything about what happens when someone actually wants the $3,900 package, or does he just bank on nobody picking the top one?
