Client asked me to cut my rate by 20% because "the economy is rough" and then showed up in a new Tesla
I think the real mistake is treating a sob story as a reason to lower your price instead of just a reason to ask what changed in their budget. Has anyone else had a client pull the economy card while clearly doing fine?

Imagine crying poor and then rolling up in a brand new Tesla like that's normal. Respect for not folding though, holding your rate is the whole game.
