Dropped $400 on a 'client management' app that did nothing but make my clients mad
Signed up for this thing called ClientPulse back in January because a guy at a networking thing in Cleveland swore it would fix my late payments. Turns out all it did was auto-send reminder emails that read like a robot wrote them, and two of my best clients told me they felt like they were being chased by a bill collector. I canceled after 3 months and ate the $400, plus I had to call both of them and apologize, which was way more awkward than just asking for the money myself. Anyone found a simple way to handle deposits without paying for some app that makes you look like a jerk?
