Showerthought: I used to quote jobs off the top of my head in 2016, now I send a one page estimate
Back around 2016 I would just toss out a number on the phone and hope it stuck, and I got burned maybe 8 or 9 times a year on scope creep. Now I email a one page estimate with the price written out and a note that says anything extra gets billed at $65 an hour, mostly because a client in Cleveland argued about a $300 add on for two weeks. Do you all put a revision limit in writing or just eat the back and forth?
