Warning: my old boss said never name a number first, and I just watched it backfire on a $3,200 quote
He told me back in 2019 to always let them throw out a budget first, so I tried it on a logo job last week and the guy just said "I dunno, what do you charge?" and the call died there. I ended up quoting $1,100 less than I wanted just to fill the silence. Anyone got a line that works when they toss the ball right back at you?
