Had a perfect brisket day last Saturday and I still don't know what I did right
Everything just clicked - the fire stayed at 250 without me messing with it, the bark set like glass, and when I pulled it off at 203 it was like butter. I've been doing this for 3 years and that was the first time I nailed the stall perfectly. Anyone else have those days where you can't figure out why it worked so good?

nailed the stall perfectly" - more like you got lucky and the meat gods smiled on you that day lol. I've had 2 of those magical briskets in 8 years and honestly think it's just random chance with the cut of meat.

Girl YES @barbaradavis is totally right about the meat gods smiling on us that day lol. Last spring I had a pork shoulder that just did everything perfect and I still can't tell you why. The bark was like candy and it pulled apart with zero effort. I swear sometimes the universe just decides to throw you a win in the smoker. It's like the meat knows when you're not trying too hard and decides to cooperate.
