Hit 60 clients this year, and it broke me in a good way

I crossed 60 freelance clients in 2024, which sounded great until I realized I was booking 3 calls a day just to keep up. At 58 I hit a wall, missed a deadline for the first time in 5 years, and that forced me to cut my roster down to 40 regulars. Turns out the number that mattered wasn't the total, it was the 20 I dropped. Has anyone else found that scaling back was the actual milestone?
