My old landlord in Reno handed me a trick for burnout and I laughed at him, but he was right
Back in 2019 I was pulling 60 hour stretches on remodels and side jobs. My landlord, a retired electrician named Dale, kept telling me the same thing every time he saw me dragging. He said "take one full day off a month and don't do a single thing that pays." I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever heard because I was chasing cash. Anyway, I finally tried it in February after a rough patch and the next month I booked more work than I had in six months. Turns out not being fried makes you better at the job. Does anyone here actually keep a hard no-work day and does it stick?
