My therapist's 10-minute rule blew up my whole routine
My therapist in Portland told me to take a 10 minute break every 90 minutes, no exceptions. I laughed it off as too simple, but last week I tried it for real. Turns out I was grinding through 6 hour stretches and wondering why I hit walls by 3 PM. The break forces me to step outside, and my afternoon output actually feels cleaner. Has anyone else tried a timer-based break and found it weirdly effective, or do you just power through?}

Honestly, I'm kind of the opposite. Forcing myself to stop always makes me lose the thread, and then I spend the next 20 minutes trying to get back into it. I get the burnout thing, but I'd rather just push through and be done by 2 than reset my brain five times a day. Maybe it's just a Portland thing.

Does the reset actually happen more often than not, @ross.kim?
