Michael's got a point but look at it this way. Those injectors were already clogged bad enough to cause a rough idle and power loss. Even if they only last another year, that's a year of smooth running you wouldn't have had. Most guys I know just swap them out and toss the old ones. But you spent $180 on cleaning and got a good result. What's the downside? Even if they fail sooner than brand new ones, you're still ahead on money. Plus you got to see firsthand that the carbon was the real issue, not a dead injector. That's a learning experience right there.

yeah i actually watched a video from that uk blacksmithing channel last week and they were saying the exact same thing about the alloys being different over there, it changes the whole welding temp window. @jessica331 i think youre kinda right about the scarf and tap thing but honestly if your metal quality is questionable the carbon content is the first thing id check anyway, especially if youre trying to match what UK guys are doing. makes a huge difference in how the billet stacks.
