Rant: Editing a 4-minute video file took 14 hours on my laptop

My 2019 laptop decided to render each frame like it owed it money. Had to restart the project three times until I realized the timeline was set to 4K, not 1080p. Anyone else find their own dumb settings slowing jobs to a crawl?

Oh man that exact thing happened to me like two weeks ago. Spent all night wondering why my 2 minute clip was taking forever just to realize I left it on 4K from a different project. Made me feel like such a doofus lol.

Hold on there @parker_hall5, is it really that big of a deal? I've made the same mistake plenty of times and it usually just adds an extra ten minutes to my export. It's not like your computer is going to explode or anything. Just a mild annoyance at worst.
