Bleeding Shimano brakes took me 4 hours, turns out it was one tiny O-ring
I was fighting a mushy lever on my MTB for a whole afternoon in my shop in Portland. Rebled the system twice, checked the hose, even swapped the caliper. Finally found the problem was a dried out O-ring on the banjo fitting, cost me 50 cents at the local hardware store. Anyone else ever spent half a day on something that ends up being that stupid simple?

Cost me 50 cents at the local hardware store" is the part that gets me. Makes me wonder how many people have thrown out whole calipers over dried out O-rings, the parts are probably sitting in a landfill somewhere while the fix was basically free. I kept a bag of assorted O-rings in my toolbox ever since I had a master cylinder leak on my truck that turned out to be the same thing. Just wild how such a cheap part can eat up your whole afternoon.
