Overheard a guy at a coffee shop say he watched ALL of The Wire in 4 days and I had questions
I was getting a latte last Tuesday in Portland and this dude next to me told his friend he 'ripped through the whole Wire series in 4 days flat.' Like 60 episodes, over 50 hours of TV. That's basically 12 hours a day minimum. I wanted to ask him if he even remembered what happened or if he just heard words and saw blurry faces by day 3. Has anyone here actually tried to binge a whole long series that fast and not ended up mixing up plotlines? I feel like shows under 3 seasons are fine but The Wire is dense.

Honestly I used to think binging was fine but watching The Wire that fast sounds like a total blur.

Did you even catch who killed who by the end?

Oh man yeah @michael803 asked the real question lol. Like if you blazed through The Wire in two weeks you definitely missed like half the chess game metaphors and definitely got confused on who was working for who. I remember my first watch I binged season 1 in like 3 days and by the end I had no clue who killed who or why Omar was always singing. You gotta let those characters breathe between episodes honestly.
