Pro tip: Found my new favorite show from a stranger at the grocery store

I was in the checkout line last Tuesday and the cashier told me to watch 'The Bear' because I mentioned I like fast-paced shows. She said it reminded her of working in a restaurant kitchen and I binged the whole first season in two days. Anyone else find a hidden gem from a random person?

My buddy found a band that way. He was at a bar waiting for a friend and the bartender put on some random album. The bartender said it was this underground band from Iceland called "Kontinuum" or something like that. He ended up messaging the bartender the next day asking for more bands like that. Now he's got like five albums from that whole scene and won't shut up about them. Still weird how a stranger at a bar can change your whole music taste like that.

Does your buddy ever think about how that bartender might have just been messing with him? I mean, bartenders get asked about random music all the time, some of them just make up bands or say whatever comes to mind to get a tip or keep a conversation going. Could've totally been a inside joke the bartender had with the other staff about pranking customers.
