Spent 3 hours hunting down one missing episode of The Wire and it was a disc from 2008
My box set had a scratched disc 4 and I refused to just skip to season 3, so I burned a whole evening on it. Does anyone else physically hunt down the one episode instead of just streaming it?

That scratched disc thing hits close to home. My copy of season 2 had a nick right at the start of one episode and my player would freeze every single time at the same spot, so I ended up buying a used copy off eBay for like four bucks just to watch those two minutes. The weird part is I own the whole series on a streaming app too, but clicking play there felt like giving up. There's something about the physical set that makes it feel like the right way to watch it, scratches and all. You ever notice how the used copies always come with someone's random bookmark or a sticky note still stuck in the case?

Man, my used copy came with a receipt from 2004 and someone's grocery list, so at least I know Dave needed milk.
