inVent: The weirdest thing I saw at the county fair food stand
Honestly that setup makes total sense. A busy fair stand can't have a tiny air fryer up front for every order, the line would be a mile long. They probably cook batches in the back to keep up with demand and use the lamp to hold them at a safe temp. That guy was just telling you the truth, the equipment is just in the kitchen area. It's not like he was hiding a microwave.

inUpdate: I used to eyeball my load charts for every lift under 10 tons.
Remember my buddy who thought he could lift a small generator without the chart? The rigging looked fine but the chart said the angle cut his capacity way down. He got lucky, the sling just stretched and creaked. After that he checks every single pick, just like @williams.luna says. It's not about the weight, it's about the setup.

inJust noticed a lot of shops are still running their coolant way too rich
Funny how it's not just about waste, the wrong mix can mess with the machine's rust inhibitors (so I've heard). You might be fine until you're not.

inJust found out my old toner probe was the reason I spent an extra hour in a crawl space yesterday
Yeah, the "know the tricks" part is what gets you. My buddy tried that foil trick on an old toner in a packed attic (like, insulation up to your knees). He spent an hour chasing a ghost signal, only to find out he was tracing the wrong cable the whole time. He said the worst part was the heat and the feeling he just wasted all that effort. Sometimes a tool that just works is worth it, you know? Not saying you need a new one, but that kind of day can really mess up your rhythm.

inInstalling a new kitchen faucet turned into a 3-day plumbing adventure
Used to skip the oil until a valve snapped on me.
