Unpopular opinion: I skipped the newest true crime doc and watched a 2005 drama instead
Everyone in my group chat won't shut up about that new 10 part series on the college admissions guy. I tried the first episode and it felt like homework. All those recreations and voiceovers just drag. So last Friday night I flipped to an old show from 2005 about a small town lawyer, and I finished 8 episodes in one sitting. The pacing is slower but the characters actually breathe. It doesn't need a twist every 10 minutes to keep me hooked. Why did we decide every show has to be a nonstop adrenaline pump to count as binge worthy? Has anyone else gone back to an older series and felt more satisfied than with the hyped releases?
