Got stuck for 3 hours trying to figure out a rule in Arkham Horror...
We were playing the Dunwich Legacy campaign last weekend and hit a weird spot with the 'Beyond the Veil' card. The card says you get damage if your deck runs out, but my friend had a card that let him shuffle his discard pile back in. Does that count as his deck 'running out'? We spent over an hour just reading the card and the rulebook, then another two looking online. We found a forum post from 2017 that argued about it, but no official answer. We finally just rolled a die to decide and moved on, but it totally killed the mood. Has anyone else run into a rule that just stopped your game dead like that? How do you guys handle it when you can't find a clear answer?

Ugh, that Beyond the Veil thing... we had the exact same fight. It totally wrecks the game flow when you hit a rule that just says 'figure it out yourselves'. We spent forty minutes once on whether an exhausted enemy still blocks your path. Ended up just house-ruling it for the night and looking it up later. Sometimes you just gotta make a call and keep the game moving, even if it's wrong.

That Beyond the Veil ruling is a classic headache. What did you end up rolling on the die to decide it?

Just went with a straight d6. Rolled a 4, so the creature got banished back to its home plane. The real fix is to talk it out before the session. Make a quick table for those weird edge cases so you're not stuck guessing in the moment. It saves so much time.
