Saw a guy flip a table over a house rule at a convention in Dallas last month
I was at a convention in Dallas last month and this guy totally lost it because someone used the wrong movement rule in a game. He stood up, yelled some stuff, and flipped the whole table. Dice and tokens went everywhere. It made me realize I need to pick my gaming groups way more carefully now. Has anyone else had a game night go sideways like that?

Nah, the guy was right to flip the table. House rules are sacred.

Man, that's rough but I've seen similar stuff happen. Best advice I can give is to vet your groups before you even sit down. Ask around at the convention or shop about specific players, look for red flags like people who argue over tiny rule details before the game starts. Also, set clear expectations for house rules right at the beginning, like a quick five minute talk. If someone gets loud or aggressive, shut it down fast, don't wait for it to build up. I've had to walk away from a couple tables myself, and it's never worth sticking around if the vibe is off.
