The chess club guy in Reno called my Catan strategy 'aggressively Swedish' and I've been thinking about it for a week
I was at a game night at a library in Reno and this older guy named Hal watched me trade away my last brick at a bad moment, then said to nobody in particular, "aggressively Swedish, no one asked permission." I laughed at the time, but then I realized he was right, I never check if trades help the leader at the table before I jump in. Now I'm wondering if Hal's label actually fits my whole play style, because I did the exact same thing in a game of Ticket to Ride on Sunday and got crushed. How do you all balance being the fun trader with not accidentally handing someone the win?
