Best Tuesday I've had on a job site in years
Last week I was welding a feed hopper at a grain mill outside of Des Moines. The foreman handed me a set of drawings that had three different rev levels crossed out and scribbled over, so I figured it would be a mess. Turns out every dimension on the latest sketch actually lined up with the existing bolt holes, first try. We got the whole new chute hung by lunch, and the millwright didn't yell at me once. Then the plant owner came out and handed us a case of cold Gatorades, which never happens. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but even the rain held off until we had the rigging down. Anyone else ever have a job where everything just clicked from start to finish, or is that against union rules?
