Vent: My sister picked the book for our club and then admitted she never finished it
We meet at the library on Oak Street every other Tuesday, and my sister volunteered to pick the book for March, so she chose a 600 page novel nobody had heard of. Last week at our meeting she let everyone argue about the ending for 45 minutes before she finally admitted she stopped at page 200 and just read the Wikipedia summary. I sat there with my coffee going cold while two other members got into it about a scene she never even read. Now I get to run the next meeting and I want to make sure this does not happen again, so does anyone have a rule for picking books that keeps people from faking their way through?
