My neighbor in Tulsa swore by 2 cups of coffee grounds per rose bush and now my yard smells like a diner
My next door neighbor Vern, who has grown roses in Tulsa for 30 odd years, handed me a Folgers can back in April and said to dump 2 cups of spent grounds around each bush every two weeks. I did it for six weeks straight and half my roses turned yellow while the other half got this weird fuzzy mold on the soil. Was he messing with me, or does spent coffee really need to be composted first before it touches roses?
