Spent my day off fixing my aunt's crumbling steps for the third time
She keeps using the wrong type of sand in her mortar mix, so it never holds up. I showed her how to do it properly last year (with a written guide and everything), but she still messes it up. Now I have to re-lay the whole thing, and my vacation day is gone. Sometimes I wish they'd just hire someone else.
@william_bell35 on bad work reminds me of my cousin's baking fail. She used salt instead of sugar and called it artisan. We ate it anyway, which felt like an expert move.
Relate to both the post and william_bell35 on the expert practice thing. Your aunt's bad sand mix is basically giving us more job security, I guess. Now we're all just experts at fixing other people's bad work instead.
