I did it the old way for 11 years, string line and a 4 foot level, and I thought that was just how it was done. Last spring on a garage job in Ames my line kept sagging in the wind and a young guy on the crew pulled out a $180 laser and had his corners set in 20 minutes while I was still messing with mine. I bought one the next week and my course heights have been dead on since. Any of you still running string only, or did you switch too?
