inSwitched from basic layers to masking groups and it fixed my messy workflow
Started using color coding for my layers about a year ago after watching some speedpaint on Youtube where the guy had all these colored folders and I thought it looked like a neon rainbow mess but turns out it actually helps alot. I'll do red for rough sketches, blue for lineart, green for base colors and yellow for shading and effects so I can instantly tell what im looking at without even reading the names. Funny thing is I got so into organizing that I spend like 15 minutes setting up my file structure before I even start drawing sometimes its almost like I'm avoiding the actual work by making everything look pretty. But once I get going its smooth sailing because I can find my flat colors under the green folder without hunting through 50 invisible eyes. The masking groups thing you mentioned is definitely the next level though Ive been relying on clipping masks too much and need to switch over.

inWent to a board game cafe in Portland and saw something weird
A buddy of mine landed in a writer's group for RPGs once, zero dice were rolled.

inCalled it overpriced junk until I borrowed a friends Park Tool truing stand
Hell yeah, I've been there. Spent a whole Saturday cussing at a coat hanger and a zip tie setup only to realize my wheel was still wobbling worse than a drunk at last call. That Park Tool stand feels like cheating compared to the hours I wasted on redneck engineering.

inFirst batch of kimchi grew mold after 5 days
That happened to me too on my first try, I learned the hard way to put less moisture and more salt next time. I wouldn't reuse that liquid though, just start fresh with new veg and brine.

inThat client who insisted on hourly updates billed me for 12 hours of 'meetings'
You'd probably get away with it too, as long as you don't spell "project management" wrong on the invoice.
