My sister told me to stop booking flights on Fridays, and I saved $212 on a trip to Denver
My sister works as a nurse and has to bid on her vacation days months ahead, so she books a lot of flights last minute. Last month she told me she never books on a Friday, and I kind of blew it off at first. Then I looked at my own receipts from the last year and every single flight I booked was on a Friday, usually right after work when I was tired and just wanted it done. So for my trip to Denver in March I waited until Tuesday morning instead, and the same round trip dropped from $388 to $176. I checked it a few more times that week and Tuesday and Wednesday were both way cheaper than the weekend. I think it has to do with when airlines drop sales and when people are actually sitting at computers shopping. Now I set a reminder on my phone for Tuesday morning whenever I'm planning a trip. Has anyone else noticed a certain day that always gives them a better price, or is it just random for you?
