My dad's "envelope system" advice finally clicked after 18 months of ignoring it
He kept telling me to pull out cash for groceries and gas every payday, and I thought it was outdated until I checked my bank app last Friday and saw I'd spent $312 less than any month this year, so has anyone else had an old-school budgeting tip that actually beat all the apps?

Aw man, that's awesome lol! It's wild how the simplest stuff can totally change your spending when you least expect it. Definitely gives me some hope for my own broke ass budget.
